Fashion designer by day, party planner by night, Audrey Newbacher has an extensive background in costuming, theatre, and history. She was inspired to create Yorecraeft Productions after attending immersive historical events in New York City and abroad. It is her mission to bring the past back to life to better understand the present, and to support local artists with creative and meaningful work. She is passionate about bridging the gap between art, education, commerce, and entertainment.
Born to a high school history teacher and a Civil War buff, Robyn developed a lifelong love and passion for history at a very early age. She has over ten years of experience working in museums and nonprofit organizations including fundraising and education. Having been involved in the performing arts since the age of four, she enjoys any excuse to dress up and interact with the public! When not at Yorecraeft events, Robyn can be found critiquing costumes in historic films with her cat, Cecily Neville, Duchess of York.
Thanks to her Nana and their frequent outings to the Kent State University Fashion Museum, Simone has nurtured an enduring love of historical fashion since elementary school. After studying fashion design, then taking a decade-long detour into a career as a translator, she now creates custom garments for historical reenactments and other special events. Meanwhile, Simone has been involved in an ardent love affair with dance - with the courtly graces, and with the unbridled joy that twirling brings. She is an insatiable student of classical ballet, and hopes to revive and share all manner of historical dances through Yorecraeft events.
